Hey guys...Short update from Schmoeville...

Not much new going on here...Just working the new job still...and makin vids in my spare time...Read the biography of the photographer/videographer known as Old Reliable...Fascinating story in my opinion.  Working the streets of L.A. in the sixties and seventies, photographing street trade and hustlers, and making AUDIO tapes of the "interviews" of the young men he encountered. 

 He tells about the sessions....recounts the times he was ripped off and robbed...tells about his early forray into making videos...late 70's, Video cameras were super expensive, editing options limited, And recruiting models, many of which were homeless, or on the run from the law, or otherwise forgotten about. Mostly guys that were masculine and identify as "straight". Yet none could sustain a hetero relationship, When I watch his vids, I get a sense that the models are happy that they get a chance to "show off" for an appreciative audience, even if its just a gay guy with a cam. 

None of his models were guys that I would describe as beautiful, yet to me they were all hot in that masculine way  It's fascinating to me.. Complete strangers sharing some of the most intimate details of their lives and their bodies to a complete stranger for money.

  Old reliable recounts the stories and basically says that he had no fear...for his personal safety...Although he was robbed at gunpoint a time or two, and that his home had been broken into a couple of times, and some people he tried to help..usually betrayed him and stole from him the first chance they got....one of the funniest things I read...that I could relate to...was the smell during a shoot... Some guys have some stinky ass feet.  I think the nervousness of the models and the lights tend to enhance the smell of some guys feet.  I have shot some guys with some smelly ass feet, and I knew EXACTLY what he was talking about. LOL

Anyway, enough rambling....Heres a couple pics of what we are working on now....

Jay just turned 18 less than 2 weeks ago.  He fresh from the country after being kicked out on his 18th birthday.

Hey Guys....Just a lil update from Schmoeville...Been working on a few projects here and there... Still tryin to learn the new Job...So far, so good... Recruited a few new models.  and got my yearly/annual mothers day lecture from my mom...LOL

Man if she had any Idea about the amateur videos....she'd really flip her wig...  Been making amateur vids for about one year now...and so far, I dont think I have been spotted or recognized. I've been wondering what I'll tell some one when they say " Hey....arent you Joe Schmoe? " So far though, it hasnt hapened  Which is good, because I dont have my response planned out.  any other producers got a plan for when they are asked?
