over the years of shooting videos, i've received countless thousands of model applications.  as you can imagine, i'm not shocked by anything i receive, but one aspect of our model apps stands out among the rest....the area where we ask "why do you want to be in an adult video?"

85% always say "something i've always wanted to do" (or some variation thereof).  then there are the ones who attempt to be clever instead of honest (we hate those) and, of course, the ones who say "the money" (pretty honest, but the money sucks in porn unless you're successfully producing it).

fame is another answer, but we usually squash that misconception as quickly as possible.  for fuck's sake...phones have camcorders in them now, making everyone a pornographer or porn star these days...so what are you really bringing to the table to stand out among the other millions of pornstar wannabe's?  this doesn't mean that you aren't pornstar material and won't make it, but a reality check is necessary for the youtube generation.

but the one that truly stands out for me are the massively hung guys who get into porn so they can fuck someone.  yes, you heard it right.  their answer to the above question goes something like "because my dick is too large for most people, so i'm hoping I can get laid by a porn model".  the implication, true or not, is that a porn model will be much more "loose" and able to handle a monster cock, as opposed to the little sorority girl at the frat party or the gay guy who isn't like throwing a hotdog down a hallway.

now i'm not talking about your above average dick.  yes, that can cause a lot of drama, pain, and pleasure for the newbie recipient but rather i'm talking about the massive, oh-my-fucking-god-is-that-real, cock...like mine.....HA!  i've had the pleasure of seeing many of these creatures (i don't care if you're a straight or gay guy, a true monster will grab your full attention whether you have the balls to admit it or not).

LONDON (Reuters) - Up to 200 strip poker players will compete Saturday to see who will lose their shirts -- and more -- and who will scoop 10,000 pounds by retaining their clothes and modesty.

Organized by Irish bookmaker Paddy Power, the inaugural World Strip Poker Championship takes place at the prestigious Cafe Royal in central London with players battling it out in games of "No Limit Texas Hold 'em."

"We are holding the competition because we got so much interest from our spoof April Fool this year about a strip poker competition that we thought, 'why not? let's do it for real," Paddy Power's Darren Haines told Reuters Friday.

He said players of both sexes from over 12 countries would battle it out for the "Gold Fig Leaf" trophy and the right to revel in the title of World Strip Poker Champion.

Aside from strict rules governing the poker play, Paddy Power has laid down clear guidelines on the stripping element -- most importantly that each player starts the match by wearing five items of clothing supplied by the organizers.

Each contestant will be given a towel to sit on and to cover themselves when naked, but only after they have stripped completely.

"Inappropriate behavior," will not be tolerated, said Paddy Power.

It's always been my reasoning that a porn business should be run like any other, with regards to ethics, quality control, excellent customer service, etc. One thing in the "non-porn" shopping world that I love is loyalty/rewards points that I get for my purchases. Right now they are included as cards inside your purchase, but we're working diligently to make it electronic so our customers don't have to keep up with a bunch of cards (or keep them hidden from prying eyes :)

Once we make the points system all site-based, we'll also be able to add points on birthdays, holidays, if we fuck up (at our discretion of course), or just because. The customers will be able to monitor their points much better and so will we.

Therefore, I removed their interviews as they didn't really make sense unless you could go and see their video pics and descriptions (and nowhere to link them to).

The priority items on my list right now are: New shopping cart system (almost done and it's hella cool!), Streaming-Download site (our own, not a 3rd party), selling pics and clips as content to adult webmasters, and an adult blog-hosting site (first for our producers and then to the general public).

I'm also adding a "Personal" category to these blog posts. I've got the "General" but am not sure if that needs to exist or not.

Larry Flynt spoke here in Seattle on a book signing tour he was doing for "Sex, Lies, & Politics: The Naked Truth". I've always appreciated, both personally and as a pornographer, his history and success with fighting for freedom of speech rights, so I headed downtown to hear him speak.

The crowd was very plain, considering I was expecting more "seedy" characters to attend. It was just regular folks who shared the same feelings as me about Flynt's crusades. There was even a couple who brought their baby (well, I assume it was theirs ;) and a couple of cute boys that I tried to impress with the fact that I produce porn :)

When Flynt rolled in with his HUGE bodyguard/assistant, I didn't know what to expect. I assumed he'd spend the entire time trying to get coins from us buying his book and various other items for sale off to the side, but that was not the case. Instead he spoke about various topics that are addressed in the book for about 20 minutes. It was pretty rehearsed, but I guess it would have to be wouldn't it? The thing that impressed and pleased me the most, however, was the next 45 minutes he spent answering any questions the audience had.

I say I was impressed because he had no idea what anyone would ask, therefore it certainly wasn't rehearsed. I'm sure many of the questions were ones he'd been asked a bazillion times before, but his answers were very funny, quick, sharp, and unapologetic. He was laughing most of the time and it almost felt like I'd known him longer than the hour I was there.

I'm neither shy in public, nor do I have any problems with public speaking, but for some reason I was nervous about asking a question. When Flynt called on me to ask my question, I did without hesitation. I asked "What's your opinion about the recent changes to the 2257 laws?" He got an extremely serious look on his face, after laughing and smiling so much before, and said "It's wrong and just a ploy to rattle the chains of adult companies. I think the ACLU has just filed suit against Ashcroft." Then he went on to another question.

After he spoke, we all got in line to have him sign his book that we all bought. When I approached him at the book-signing table, I shook his hand and told him I appreciated everything he's done for me and the adult entertainment community. I hope you guys don't mind that I thanked him on your behalf :)
